Farm animals...

These farm animals are reminders of my childhood, having the privilege of growing up on a small-holding and being surrounded by nature. They each have their own personalities and when I was at the 2008 Design Indaba it was amazing to see how many viewers of these brooches connected themselves with different type of animals...

these are rusted, laser cut steel, animal brooches which were made as an edition to my farm animal series, just using the simple outline of images...I suppose they became the 'mass produced versions all though they were quite labour intensive after all....
